The main objectives of the Luxembourg Chamber of Skilled Crafts are to represent the Luxembourg craft sector and to safeguard its interests. The Luxembourg Chamber of Skilled Crafts is the institutional mouthpiece of the approximately 7,300 companies in the food sector, the fashion, health and hygiene sector, the mechanical engineering sector, the construction sector with carcassing and interior finishing, the technical equipment sector, as well as the communication, multimedia, art and various craft activities sector. These sectors employ over 91,000 people and currently have 1,700 apprentices in training. With a share of 22% in the number of companies and 23% in the number of employees, the craft sector represents an important sector of the national economy. It is thus the largest employer in Luxembourg and the sector with the most apprentices.
