First employment barometer among recruitment agencies

Luxembourg, 24 January 2023. The Union des Entreprises Luxembourgeoises (UEL), in collaboration with its members and the Federation for Recruitment, Search & Selection (fr2s), has conducted the first employment barometer among recruitment agencies in Luxembourg. 

The survey focused on talent attractiveness and retention factors. The objective was to objectify the situation of the labour market from the point of view of the recruitment agencies, which have the advantage of having a complementary view of the labour market, particularly for the recruitment of more targeted profiles such as management, skilled and specialised functions.  

The results of the survey confirm the findings of the labour shortage faced by employers in the country, across all sectors. The barometer also reveals a real need to adapt both the organisation of work and the fiscal framework in order to attract the necessary talent to Luxembourg. 

The UEL, as the umbrella organisation of employers’ associations, bringing together professional chambers and employers’ federations, is actively working to make Luxembourg a more attractive place for talent to ensure the country’s future prosperity. “The UEL is committed to sustainable talent development, working closely with all stakeholders. The priority will be our country’s ability to attract, train and mobilise the talents of tomorrow,” said Jean-Paul Olinger, Director of the UEL, recently. The UEL’s collaboration with fr2s is therefore fully in line with the desire to act on the various recruitment levers.
